Day 1

9:30am: Explore WA Museum Boola Bardip

Start your day at WA Museum Boola Bardip, a celebration of Western Australia's people, places and stories. The Museum features eight permanent galleries exploring three major themes - Being Western Australian, Discovering Western Australia and Exploring the World. Through interactive displays, vast collections and community contributions, visitors can uncover everything from the formation of the Universe to WA’s diverse cultures and unique species. Woven throughout are the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, reflected in the Museum's name - Boola Bardip, meaning "many stories" in local Nyoongar language.

11am: Experience Nyoongar Culture at Nyumbi

At 11am, gather in the Museum courtyard to experience Nyumbi - a celebration of Nyoongar culture through song, dance and language. This free, 45-minute weekly performance invites visitors to connect with local Nyoongar performers as they share their rich culture and history. Each week, a different performance group leads a smoking ceremony and celebration dance. 

12:30pm: Experience the magic of gold at The Perth Mint

Make your way to the The Perth Mint, a must see for locals and visitors alike. Join an hourly guided tour to experience the mesmerising journey of gold discovery in WA through interactive displays, photographs and artefacts and witness the spectacle of a live gold pour in The Perth Mint's original melting house. Wander the historic showrooms of The Perth Mint's jewellery store and view some of the world's most dazzling pieces featuring locally sourced sparkling gemstones.

2.00pm: Check into your accommodation at Novotel Perth Langley

Calling all gin lovers! Join the Hidden deTours Gin Walking Tour of Perth, a 3.5-hour gin adventure through the CBD and Northbridge. You'll visit three distinct gin bars, enjoy two guided gin tasting paddles (with garnishes & tonics), and sip three cocktail tasters while our experts teach you cocktail skills. As you stroll the city streets, the guide will regale you with juicy stories and quirky snippets of Perth's gin-and-city history.
