Working Holidays

Discover Perth and Western Australia on a working holiday, combining travel, and the opportunity to earn money while exploring the region. Australia's Working Holiday Maker program allows eligible young adults to travel and work in Australia for up to 12 months, with opportunities to extend their stay. There are two types of visas:

Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417) - available to eligible passport holders from participating countries and jurisdictions
Work and Holiday Visa (subclass 462) - available to eligible passport holders from a different group of participating countries

Eligibility requirements vary depending on your nationality and visa subclass. Applicants must generally be aged 18-30, or up to 35 for certain nationalities, hold an eligible passport and not be accompanied by dependent children.

Eligible travellers may be able to apply for a second or third working holiday visa, allowing them to spend up to three years in Australia. For many applicants, this involves completed specified work in eligible industries and locations. However, exemptions apply, including for eligible UK passport holders.
