Cap off the weekend that was joining in on a long time Perth tradition, the Sunday Session.

Yes, end the weekend (or start the week) on a high being a jolly patron, bevy in tow at one of Perth’s liveliest venues from city to sea. Here, we reveal our favourite venues to toast the town and watch the sun go down for the ultimate Perth Sunday Session.

1. Bathers Beach House, Fremantle

Head to Perth's only absolute beachfront restaurant, Bathers Beach House, in Fremantle. Go back and forth between lounging and swimming while enjoying a meal with toes in the sand. Share plates, grazing boards and mains are all served on the beach, so it’s easy to spend an afternoon at this laidback venue. Just make sure to pack your bathers!

2. The Claremont Hotel

The resorted landmark Claremont Hotel boasts a public bar for watching the footy with a pint, a dining room for a refined food experience, a family friendly courtyard and the perfect rooftop terrace for your next Sunday Session. Whether you are looking to grab a pint and a bush chook roll with mates in the Main bar, sip on a cocktail with nibbles on The Rooftop - The Claremont Hotel has you covered.

3. BAHA Poolside Bar & Kitchen, Perth City

Whoever said the city is dead on a weekend? Head upstairs to BAHA Poolside Bar & Kitchen within The Adnate Hotel. The airy, music-inspired restaurant bar overlooks the hotel's pool area, bringing summertime vibes all year round with its reclining lounges. Sip on cocktails curated by Australia's renowned mixologist Tim Philips-Johansson and enjoy Perth's splashiest urban sanctuary.

4. Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges, Fremantle

Have a casual drink at the Ball & Chain at the historic Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges. It's one for beer and whiskey lovers, with the jail-themed bar offering a wide range of each. Staying at the hotel? Head to The Poolside Bar to cool off two-fold with a cold bevy and splash.

5. The Boat, Mindarie

Join in the laidback atmosphere at Mindarie Marina’s The Boat. The canalside bistro pub is a great place to watch all the action at the marina unfold while savouring a drink or meal in the beer garden. Be easily entertained with live music and catch another epic sunset over the sea.

6. Little Creatures, Fremantle

A trip to Fremantle is not complete without popping into Little Creatures. The former Croc Museum, now a brewhouse institution, has been delivering some of the state's most recognisable beers in a jolly fashion along Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour for over two decades. Can't decide on which beer to have? Become a beer judge by grabbing a tasting paddle. We recommend sitting in the outdoor beer garden along the coast to enjoy brews and sunset views. The family-friendly venue also has a playground area for the little ones to keep everyone entertained. Nice.

The Left Bank is a Perth Sunday Session institution. Located on the Swan River in East Fremantle, the much-loved riverside pub offers a lively atmosphere in its large beer garden, metres from the snaking waterway. If feeling hungry, the restaurant bar features a pub-style menu so everyone will be satisfied with hearty serves.

8. Stories

Nestled between the busy Perth CBD and vibrant Northbridge, Stories showcases an array of diverse offerings across five spacious storeys - nine bars, three restaurants, a speakeasy and rooftop bar, private dining space and the city's biggest beer garden- the Front Yard. Or grab a cold pint and listen to the sounds of live music in the Pourhouse.

9. The Cottesloe Beach Hotel, Cottesloe

Good times are to be had at The Cottesloe Beach Hotel. The hotel is legendary for its Sunday Sessions, always luring crowds from across the city. Join the masses in the beer garden, The Beach Club, and grab a cocktail from the Mixology Cocktail Bar. And when the time comes, catch an ocean sunset at the front bar. Simply magical.
