Catching a Lotterywest film at UWA Sommerville is an iconic summer experience. The auditorium is converted into an outdoor cinema during the warmer months, making a gorgeous backdrop for a balmy night and a cinematic treat, and is easily accessible by public transport from Perth City. Lotterywest Films is part of the Perth Festival, so you can expect a range of high-quality films from across the world – from romance to zombie comedy! Rooftop Movies
Located smack-dab in the centre of Perth City, Rooftop Movies operate from late October to March each year. You'll find this outdoor cinema on the roof of the Roe Street Carpark, six levels above the ground and surrounded by skyscrapers, making it a unique and charming example of urban activation. This popup outdoor cinema offers scenic sunsets over skyscrapers, comfy beanbag chairs, cold drinks and tasty fare. Telethon Community Cinemas
The Telethon Community Cinemas take place in four venues across Perth over the summer months: Burswood Outdoor Cinema, Bassendean Outdoor Cinema, Murdoch Outdoor Cinema and Joondalup Outdoor Cinema. They'll be screening blockbuster films, classics and all your favourite movies during the summer months, with access to Dominos pizzas, cheese packs on the night if ordered online before the showing. Other hot food and drinks are available from the venue. Run by volunteers, all profits are proudly donated to kids' charities through Telethon. Galaxy Drive-In Theatre
You've probably seen drive-in theatres in TV shows and movies depicting the 60s and 70s, but did you know that Perth still has a drive-in outdoor cinema in the northern suburbs of Kingsley? The Galaxy Drive-In Theatre is the only drive-in located in the Perth suburbs, and for a Tuesday night special it’s only $22.00 for a whole car, so bring your friends and family for a memorable night out! Luna Outdoor Cinema

Kookaburra Outdoor Cinema
Enjoy movies under the starts in the Perth Hills with the state forest providing a dramatic background to the on-screen entertainment. The season runs from November to the beginning of April with over 300 deck chairs available as well as a small kiosk providing tea and coffee, cold drinks and ice cream. Overnight camping is available opposite the cinema at the Perth Hills Discovery Centre Campground. Campsite bookings are essential.
Moonlight Cinema
Located in the scenic Synergy Parkland within Kings Park and Botanic Gardens, Moonlight is an outdoor cinema screening latest release, contemporary and classic films. Arrive early to ensure a great spot on the lawn, and give yourself time to relax and enjoy a picnic or onsite catering before the film.
