Conditions of Membership
- Under Rule 5 of Perth Region Tourism Organisation Inc. Constitution, persons or bodies corporate who own a tourism business or tourist service that operates within the Perth Region (as defined in Rule 2) are eligible to apply for membership of PRTO.
- It is the owner of the business that becomes the member. The owner may be a sole proprietor, partnership, company, trustee for a trust or other incorporated body (e.g. local government or government department). If the owner is not a sole proprietor, please nominate a natural person authorised by the owner to act for the owner as the primary contact for dealings with PRTO. An application for membership by an owner other than a sole proprietor must authorise and nominate a natural person who will act on behalf of the member when dealing with PRTO. The owner may change its nominated natural person at any time.
- Applications for membership of PRTO will be tabled at the next board meeting and will be proposed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at that meeting for acceptance as a member. However, the Board reserves the right to modify this procedure at any time.
- All Members will be required to supply the content for their business listing based on the chosen membership level. Only once we have received the content, will business membership be activated. It is the responsibility of the Member to ensure their information on their business listing is accurate and reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
- Attendance at an AGM is not compulsory. Proxy voting for sole proprietors is not permitted under the rules of the PRTO. The nominated precinct of where the business is based is the precinct in which the nominated voter will vote under at an AGM.

- From July 1 2021, all memberships are on a financial year, pro-rata basis. Towards the end of each financial year, membership will automatically be renewed and an invoice for the membership fee issued, unless prior notification to cancel your membership has been received in writing. Payment will be required within 21 days of invoice issue or your membership will be cancelled. Invoice terms are strictly 21 days, late payments may incur an administration fee.
