Get ready, Perth—HoopFest is set to bring basketball fever to the city next month, and Forrest Place will be the ultimate fan hub.
Over four days, the sports festival will feature a vibrant fan zone with player meet-and-greets, live music, a 3x3 slam dunk exhibition, the Special Olympics, and more.
Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas expressed pride in Perth hosting Australia’s first-ever HoopFest, with 150 players from across the country and New Zealand. The City of Perth is thrilled to support the free fan zone, offering a unique experience with food trucks, entertainment, and even Sneakerland, showcasing the world's rarest shoes.
NBL's Anthony Everard emphasized the fan zone as a key element of the ultimate HoopFest experience, thanking the City of Perth and the Western Australian Government for their support.
With a $275,000 investment from the City, Mayor Zempilas urged everyone to join the excitement at Forrest Place, support the Perth Wildcats and Perth Lynx, and enjoy free rickshaw rides to RAC Arena and free parking after 6 pm.
HoopFest runs from 19 – 22 September at RAC Arena, HBF Stadium, and Bendat Basketball Stadium. Tickets are available at HoopsFest.com.au.
