The Perth Hills offers a range of cycling and bike trails, for both the leisure cyclist and mountain biker, where you can stop at a number of attractions and scenic lookouts along the way. The region is also home to the Munda Biddi Bike Trail - a world-class, nature-based, off-road and long-distance cycling experience which starts in Mundaring.

Munda Biddi Bike Trail

Distance: 582km to Manjimup

The Munda Biddi Trail is WA's premier long distance off-road cycling experience from Mundaring to Manjimup. The mountain bike trail uses a network of bush tracks, firebreaks and disused railway formations with sections suitable for cyclists of all ages and experience levels. The Sculpture Park in Mundaring forms the northern terminus of the Munda Biddi Trail. Find out more.

Lake Leschenaultia Mountain Bike Trail Network

Distance: 12kms

A new 12km mountain bike trail network is open at Lake Leschenaultia, including 9 trails spanning 540m to 1.9km and ranging in difficulty from basic to intermediate. Each bike trail has also been carefully designed to consider dieback mitigation, avoid native fauna habitats and to leave a minimal trail tread footprint. Find out more.

The Kep Track

Distance: 75km | Difficulty: Easy

The multi-use Kep Track uses the rail formation between Mundaring in the Perth Hills, to Northam, east of Perth. The trail can be used for a cycle or mountain bike adventure lasting several days. There are trail heads at Mundaring Weir and Northam, and multiple access points which means cyclists from any level are catered for. Railway Reserves Heritage Trail

Distance: 41km loop | Difficulty: Easy

Railway Reserves Heritage Trail follows the route of the old Eastern Railway and is unique in providing a 41 kilometre loop entirely on railway formations. The hybrid walk and bike trail can be done in short, half day-to-day sections or over the course of several days. The Eagle View Walk Trail, John Forest Heritage Trail, Munda Biddi Trail and Kep Track all link into Railway Reserves Heritage Trail. Find out more.

Four Trails Ride

Distance: 67km | Difficulty: Moderate

The Four Trails Ride is a 67km off-road mountain bike trail ride near Perth. It is made up of the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail, Kep Track, the Munda Biddi Trail and Mason and Bird trail. It starts in Midland and finishes on the Armadale train line at Maddington, so it is easy to use Perth's cycle friendly trains to get to and from your start point.

Mason and Bird Heritage Trail

Distance: 7km loop | Difficulty: Moderate

The Mason and Bird Heritage Trail follows the route of an 1870's tram way from Mason Mill to the Swan River. A fascinating bike ride that passes one of the earliest Mill sites in Perth, the oldest all-wooden bridge in Australia (still with wooden rails for the horse tramway) and the original source of Perth's drinking water. Find out more.
