From September to June, visitors can board the ferry to Penguin Island. With its magnificent rugged coastline and shallow protected bays, it's a wonderful place to explore on land and in water.

Rockingham has a range of shopping centres throughout the region. The largest has over 200 specialty stores, 4 major retail outlets, a cinema complex, restaurants and a food hall.
One of WA's best wine regions is located only a short drive from the Rockingham city centre. The Baldivis Karnup Wine Trail has a total of four wineries all within a 4km radius of each other.
Spend some time surrounded by nature at the Rockingham Regional Environment Centre, Naragebup. This award-winning Environment Centre is located opposite Australian heritage-listed Lake Richmond, the home of the threatened ecological species called Thrombolites. It features hands-on, interactive learning displays on Indigenous culture and wildlife.
Above all, this stunning coastal region offers much more than beautiful expanses of award-winning beaches – there’s something special for everyone.
