It’s time to fall in love with Perth all over again, with our curated list of the ultimate places to eat, drink, play and stay right here in your local city.
For the Romantics
An overnight staycation at The Ritz-Carlton is a must for all Perth locals. Holiday at home with The Ritz-Carlton Romance Experience - specially designed to help you reconnect with your special someone. Enjoy elegantly appointed rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of Elizabeth Quay, the Swan River, The Bell Tower or Langley Park. This offer includes breakfast for two in Hearth, a bottle of sparkling wine and (our favourite) a 12-noon late check-out. Run, don’t walk to book this special offer valid until December 2022.

Cruise the day away with Captain Cook Cruises. Meander down the Swan River between Perth and the port city of Fremantle on a daily cruise. Stay onboard and enjoy the scenic experience or jump off in vibrant Fremantle and take the time to explore the eclectic location at your own leisure. Captain Cook Cruises has loads of different cruises on offer from the Swan River Scenic Cruise, Swan Valley Gourmet Wine Cruise, Perth Swan River Dinner Cruise and many, many more.
Venture up to the iconic Kings Park & Botanic Garden in the afternoon for one of Perth’s best sunset vantage points. Come to watch the magic colours of the sky as evening falls and afterwards, stay for a romantic dinner at Fraser’s Restaurant. It’s hailed as one of the best restaurants in Perth and is the perfect place to celebrate, dine and create special memories.

For the Families
There are plenty of things to do in Perth with kids, from free activities to attractions your little (or big) ones will want to see again and again.
Inject some culture into your day with a short walk through Perth City. Take in the vibrant street art spread across Perth, pause at Brookfield Place for a bite to eat then make your way to The Bell Tower. The Bell Tower is one of the largest musical instruments on earth and was custom built to house the historically significant bells of Saint Martin-in-the-Fields Church, the parish church of Buckingham Palace in Trafalgar Square, London. It is the only place (in the whole world!) where you can view bell ringing in action or where the kids can have a go at ringing the bell during an interactive tour.
The WA Museum Boola Bardip is a must visit for kids and adults alike. Learn about WA’s places, significance, history and identity with free general admission until 10 October 2022. Make the most of your visit with a special tour or event (hint: the kids will love Dinosaurs of Patagonia).
For a fun family day out, you can’t go past the Perth icon, Scitech. Let your imagination run wild at Scitech with playful science, technology, engineering and mathematic experiences for the whole family. Explore the wonders of the world with awe-inspiring interactive exhibitions, explosive shows and imaginative activities.
For something extra special, book tickets to the much-anticipated Western Australian premiere season of the hit Broadway musical, Frozen. Experience the magic of Disney at Crown Perth Theatre from August 2022. Make a night of it and stay overnight with the family at Crown Towers, Metropol or Promenade.

For the Pals
In need of a night out with pals? Look no further than Perth’s favourite cultural hub, Northbridge.
Start at the DoubleTree by Hilton Northbridge (where you’ll enjoy resting your weary head later!). Located in the heart of Northbridge, it’s the perfect base for your gal pals or night out with mates. Kick back in the spa or on the open pool deck with great views of the city.
From the hotel, a two-minute walk gets you to Perth Cultural Centre which houses the WA Museum Boola Bardip, the State Theatre of Western Australia, the Perth Institute of Contemporary Art and the Art Gallery of Western Australia (be sure to check out the rooftop bar!).
Continue the afternoon on the right foot with a Northbridge Cocktail Walking Tour with Oh Hey WA. This is an all-inclusive guided cocktail adventure visiting three iconic venues in Northbridge to learn how to make, shake, sip and savour a range of classic cocktails, with delicious nibbles to go with.
Afterwards, enjoy a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants and sip a cocktail at a small bar or two (for inspo check out our list of the top bars in Perth here).
