Stay
First, let’s talk accommodation. If you’re planning on staying for a night or two, you’ll need the perfect spot to rest your head after an action-packed day.
Experience Lancelin Holiday Park
Unwind after a day on the dunes at Experience Lancelin Holiday Park. Located right on the beach front, choose from a range of two-bedroom cabins, fully powered caravan bays, or unpowered tent sites which are a stone’s throw from the glittering ocean.

Also (and very importantly!), there’s no need to leave your four-legged friends at home, all are welcome at the park.

Lancelin Community Resource and Visitor Centre
A popular haven for adventure-seekers, Lancelin’s unique landscape provides plenty of fun in the sea and on the sand. On arrival, drop into the Lancelin Community Resource and Visitor Centre for a chat and to top up on local knowledge. The centre also has a shop brimming with gifts, books, local produce, crafts and more.
Now, it’s time to hit the dunes. Lancelin is most notably surrounded by vast, white powder sand dunes which are the ultimate spot for sandboarding, 4WDing and quad biking.
Perth Quad Lancelin
For the thrill-seekers, tackle the dunes by buggy, quad or dirt bike with Perth Quad Lancelin. Get your adrenaline pumping as you ride through the dunes on a 1.5 hour adventure or choose the 2.5 hour tour and couple a motorised ride through the sand dunes with the excitement of sliding down the dunes by sandboard.
When it comes to the water, there’s a wealth of activities to dive straight into. Lancelin is a global destination for kitesurfing and windsurfing. Surfers can also take advantage of the swell, with Back Beach one of the area’s most popular surf spots. Lancelin Bay is protected by reefs, with calm waters ideal for swimming, snorkelling and stand up paddle-boarding. If you’re a keen diver, the stretch of coast between Lancelin and Yanchep is home to 14 (yes, 14!) historic shipwrecks.
From the beach or the jetty, you can hope to catch herring, whiting, squid, tailor and samson fish – or head further out to sea by boat for larger catches. Fish not biting? You can usually also purchase freshly caught seafood (crayfish – yum!) from the boats of local fishermen.
