Whale Watching Perth will introduce daily departures for the 2026 whale watching season following record passenger numbers in 2025.

The locally owned operator recorded an 18 per cent increase in passengers compared with 2024, prompting an expansion from six-day operations to departures every day.

The 2026 season will run from 21 August to 9 November, with two-hour tours departing daily at 9am from Hillarys Boat Harbour. Additional midday departures will operate on Saturdays and Sundays throughout September and October.

Tours will be conducted aboard Ocean Master, the purpose-built vessel introduced in 2025, with onboard educational commentary provided by a marine biologist. Award-winning Perth wildlife and landscape photographer Toby Nicol will also join selected departures to capture humpback whale behaviours.

Whale Watching Perth is part of the Western Australian, family-owned Pinnacle Travel Group, which operates a range of tourism experiences across the state.
