West Kitchen & Bar has entered an exciting new chapter with the appointment of Executive Chef Zhaosik Ooi and the launch of a refreshed menu that elevates the venue's contemporary Australian offering.

Located on the Swan River, the popular waterfront destination continues to build on its relaxed yet refined identity, now underpinned by a renewed culinary focus on seasonal produce, subtle native influences and balanced, considered flavours.

Chef Ooi brings an impressive international background shaped by fine dining, luxury hotels and large-scale resort kitchens across Southeast Asia and Western Australia. His early experience at Singapore’s two-Michelin-star Restaurant André, combined with senior leadership roles within the Accor hotel group and most recently at Pinelli Estate Winery, informs a produce-driven and technically refined approach to modern Australian cuisine.

The refreshed direction reflects West Kitchen & Bar’s commitment to evolving alongside Perth’s dynamic dining scene, while remaining true to its welcoming riverside setting.
