UMA, the signature restaurant at Pan Pacific Perth, has been awarded the Contemporary Cuisine Award at the 2026 AHA Perth Airport Accommodation Awards for Excellence.
The recognition highlights the restaurant's position within Western Australia's dining landscape, with UMA also holding one Chef Hat from the Australian Good Food Guide. Led by Head Chef Javiera Gomez alongside Executive Chef Xerxes Bodhanwala, UMA presents contemporary South American cuisine that draws on influences from across the region, including Peru, Chile and Brazil.
The menu combines bold flavours with Western Australian seasonal ingredients, with a focus on sourcing produce through initiatives such as Buy West Eat Best. The AHA Awards are considered a benchmark for hospitality excellence across the state, recognising achievements across accommodation, food and beverage, service and operations. UMA's award reflects the growing role of dining in shaping the overall guest experience within hotel environments.
