Three bartenders from Crown Perth have been named among the Top 100 in the 2025 World Class Australia Bartender Awards, one of the most respected competitions in the hospitality industry.
Nic Lee (La Vie), Harry Tran (Lobby Lounge), and Afla Ahmed (Bistro Guillaume) were recognised for their creativity and craftsmanship, with each submission inspired by an international industry icon.
Nic Lee's cocktail, Book of Senses, pays tribute to Giacomo Giannotti of Paradiso Barcelona. Combining Ketel One Vodka with osmanthus and cardamom cordial, bergamot, and sea salt, the drink is presented in an interactive book format with magnolia mist and smoke elements.
Harry Tran's Echoes of Japan was inspired by Shingo Gokan, using Johnnie Walker Blue Label, honey and ginger syrup, salt, and midnight bloom bitters, finished with a yuzu mist for a fresh citrus aroma.
Afla Ahmed created Spice Age in honour of Don Ranasinghe of Smoke & Bitters, blending Ron Zacapa rum with cinnamon syrup, jasmine-infused orgeat, and clarified coconut cream to reflect the spices of South Asia.
Crown Perth Interim CEO Brian Pereira congratulated the bartenders, noting their achievement as a reflection of the venue's focus on excellence and innovation in hospitality.
