The Perth Mint and Willie Creek Pearls have launched Treasures of WA: Gold & Pearls, a new visitor experience that brings together two of Western Australia's iconic attractions.
Operating every Wednesday and Saturday, the experience combines a guided tour of The Perth Mint with Willie Creek Pearls' Live Pearl Harvest experience at Elizabeth Quay.
Guests begin at The Perth Mint, where they can experience a live gold pour, view the One Tonne Gold Coin and explore the stories behind Western Australia's gold industry. The experience then continues to Willie Creek Pearls, where visitors can discover the journey of the Australian South Sea pearl and witness a live pearl harvest demonstration overlooking the Swan River.
Designed to celebrate two of Western Australia's most significant natural treasures, the 3.5-hour experience combines storytelling, demonstrations and the opportunity to purchase an optional collector's set featuring both gold and pearls. Bookings are available online, with a minimum of four guests required for each tour.
