Mandurah Cruises has introduced two new Western Rock Lobster experiences, expanding its sea-to-plate offering in Mandurah to three different ways for visitors to enjoy locally caught lobster on the water.
The new Mandurah Lobster Lunch offers a one-hour seated lunch aboard Reel Affair II while moored in Mandjar Bay. Guests are served a whole fresh-caught Western Rock Lobster across two courses, beginning with lobster medallions in a zesty dressing followed by lobster grilled with garlic butter and served with side dishes, all prepared fresh on board.
For visitors looking to take part in the fishing experience, the new Lobster Catch and Cook Cruise is a two-hour-and-15-minute cruise through Mandurah's ocean and canals. Guests join the crew to haul up to three lobster pots before watching the onboard chef prepare their freshly caught lobster across two courses. A glass of Howard Park wine, beer or soft drink is also included.
The two new experiences join Mandurah Cruises' established Wild Seafood Experience, a 3.5-hour sea-to-plate cruise featuring an eight-course menu. The experience has also been updated to serve Western Rock Lobster three ways, as sashimi, medallions with a zesty dressing, and finished with garlic butter and Asian rice, alongside a selection of other Western Australian seafood.
Menus across Sea West's Mandurah and Rottnest Island experiences are designed by chef Tony Howell, whose partnership with the company is now in its fifth year. Sea West operates Mandurah Cruises and Rottnest Cruises and received the Seafood Experience Award at the 2024 WA Seafood Industry Awards.
