Kullanat 'Kya' Arrunnapaporn has been appointed Head Chef of KARLA at Stories, becoming Nokturnl’s first female Head Chef.
The appointment marks a significant leadership milestone for the hospitality group.
Arrunnapaporn has been part of the Stories team since its inception, helping establish the kitchen at KARLA, which has since received several industry accolades including Best Restaurant at the 2025 AHA WA Awards for Excellence, Best New Restaurant at the 2025 WA Gold Plate Awards and a Gold Star in the 2026 West Australian Good Food Guide.
Her appointment reflects the continued development of leadership within Western Australia’s hospitality sector.
