It's school holiday time - does it get any better?

It can be hard deciding what to do during the school holidays in Perth, not because there isn't much to choose from, but because there is too much! We've narrowed it down to five fun things to do with kids!

Arts & Crafts

Sign the kids up for something creative with one of the Fremantle Arts Centre kids art courses. The program has plenty of great options with courses in animation, game design, creative clay, drawing, sewing, printmaking, urban art and more! Does your little one love pirates? Then stay in Freo for some fun adventures at the WA Maritime Museum and WA Shipwreck Museum. In the city, the Art Gallery of Western Australia also offers fun activities for kids in their family exhibition area.

Experiences in Nature

Get up close to wildlife around Perth! Perth Zoo offers Keeper Kids and Zoo Crew school holiday programs for all the animal loving kids in WA. Starting as young as pre-primary, participants can help care for Zoo animals through some exciting keeper duties, meet some of the Zoo’s most treasured animals up close, and adventure into special access areas. Ranger Red's Zoo and Conservation Park and Caversham Wildlife Park also offer a range of encounters and experiences to delight the kids all year round, and AQWA is the place to go for all your favourite sea creatures like sharks and turtles!

If you're looking for ways to get back to nature with your kids, download the Nature Play 'Play Trails' app for an interactive scavenger hunt in Yanchep National Park. Follow the trail to uncover clues, complete challenges, and learn about the park's natural wonders and historical significance. It's the perfect day out for the whole family. Or head south and discover the natural beauty of Serpentine Falls. Pack a picnic and hike to this stunning waterfall in Serpentine National Park. It's a picturesque spot for a family outing and a refreshing swim.
