The Avon Valley is gearing up for an exciting array of agricultural shows in 2024.
If you've never been to an agricultural show, it’s a fantastic experience to be a part of. It's not just about showcasing prize-winning livestock or the latest farming technology (though you'll find plenty of that!). Agricultural shows are about coming together as a community, being immersed in the shared stories, and celebrating the rich trade of Australia's farming sector.
For the public, it’s an entertaining and educational event to see firsthand the importance of farming to local communities. For the farmers, dealers, and members of the agricultural industry, it’s a great way for producers to be recognised and awarded for their achievements and an opportunity to promote healthy competition.

Saturday 17 August, 2024 – 9am to late
Location: Beverley Recreation Grounds
The Beverley Agricultural Show is a great day out for all ages to enjoy rides, games, and local exhibitions to view the talent of Beverley. Grab a show bag and great food and take part in the many shows and attractions. End the night at the community-run bar and watch the fireworks display. Plenty of family fun to be had with face painting, bouncy castles, Betty Bubbles, rides and live music.
Saturday, 7th September 2024 – 9am to late
Location: Forrest Oval, York
Find an abundance of market stalls, entertainment and agricultural displays. There will also be heaps of equestrian events and fireworks in the evening. Plus, free entry for children 15 years and under!
Run by the Volunteers of the Northam AG Society, Northam Farmers Show celebrates farming heritage and practices, featuring livestock exhibitions, crop displays, machinery demos, and agricultural competitions. Attendees can enjoy live music, local food stalls, and educational exhibits. Theme is yet to be announced – so stay tuned closer to the date.
This year marks the 170th Toodyay Agricultural Show, don’t miss out on the opportunity to witness local businesses and producers as they exhibit in all different arenas – including cattle, sheep, goats, home produce, and more. Enjoy the work of artisans and crafters in the market stalls and check out the show’s extensive entertainment programme.
