Funk Drinks Co has just launched Funk Famers Ale, a 100% paddock to pint beer. After 15 years of planning and six months of testing, brothers Martin and Dustin Michael have fulfilled their dream of creating a beer made entirely from their farm produce.
The beer is made with malts and water sourced from Funk Farm in Bolgart, with hops from Margaret River. The brothers manage every step, ensuring the freshness and quality of the beer. Funk Drinks Co, which also produces cider and wine, now uses its own barley and wheat, grown and malted on-site. Funk Farmers Ale connects the bush to the city, with malts that are just weeks old when brewed.
All beers at Funk Brewshed will now use their farm's ingredients. Funk Farmers Ale will be available at Funk Brewshed, Moore River Brewing, Petition Beer Corner, and the Bolgart Hotel, with cans coming soon.
